The Gate London

The Gate London are a multidisciplinary advertising agency that can facilitate all their clients needs under one roof. I was contracted by The Gate to refresh their existing branding to reflect their best qualities. I also wanted to make it more vibrant and energetic. I was to apply and replace the new design to all existing Gate branding, from mugs and pencils to the company credentials, website and pitch presentations.

In addition to the rebrand, it was essential that I produced brand guidelines that not only worked for the design team using Adobe packages but also for the account handlers that used Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Not only did I assist in the design projects I also assisted in research, concept development and pitch decks.

Along with the new branding and the company credentials, two brand guidelines were required that could be applied to both Powerpoint on Microsoft and InDesign on Mac operating systems with layouts that kept the design cohesive and consistant regardless of who was using it. I developed a method of migration from InDesign to Powerpoint in order to build the template.

The ‘multi-facet’ design was inspired by the companies six philosophies of ‘Predatory Thinking’ in conjunction with their ability to target all of their clients needs. This encouraged the sharp lines but also soft, delicate glass like transparencies that symbolised their multidisciplinary qualities.
