Croydon School of Art Graduate Shows

With the succession of the design work for the first End of Year Show in 2014 I was contracted to further design the identity for the End of Year Show, 2015.

I wanted to celebrate the stigma of South London’s ‘edgy’ Croydon to my advantage, utilising the College’s rather aggressive but playful ‘tear’ aesthetic combined with monochrome photography of the diverse range of students, which I both directed and retouched.

Croydon School of Art Graduate Shows

My first design project post graduation  designing the identity for the End of Year Show 2014. Using their existing brand guidelines I was briefed by the head of school to design an identity that celbrated the start of something new. I liked that tearing a page reveals something new underneath.

I set meticulous design parameters from the beginning, with templated pages that could be applied in both Microsoft Word and Powerpoint with consistant colour pallettes, baseline grids, character sheets and paragraph styles to ensure that all design work was interchangeable and could be edited by other members of staff as the work load was demanding for just myself to manage.

The design was very flexible and was able to manifest itself in various formats such as a web banner, TV display, e-invite, poster, flyer, badge and wayfinding sign.
